Catalinbread Dirty Little Secret MKI
Sought after original version with discontinued JFET.
The Catalinbread Dirty Little Secret is an overdrive/distortion that responds to your playing dynamics. Like the classic British amplifiers it emulates, the DLS V1 crunches when you hit it hard and cleans up when you play softly. The Dirty Little Secret seamlessly integrates treble boosters and fuzzes with clean low-volume amps, delivering a thick, cranked sound at reasonable volume levels.
The pedal's controls are simple and easy to use. Loudness governs output, Tone morphs from smooth and fat to crunchy and cutting, Gain goes from clean and clear to full crunch with harmonics, and the Rock/Rawk switch selects 60s-70s JTM/JMP sounds (Rock) or ‘80s JCM tones (Rawk).
This DLS is a secondhand pedal in reasonable condition with box. Can ship to UK only or London collection. Non international sales I'm afraid.

DLS - from the Gear Page forum - Catalinbread answering whether the V1 would be re-released as it's still sought after even with a redesigned V2 and V3 following it.
"No chance for a v1 reissue as I said before due to the JFETs going extinct.
The differences are pretty clear - v1 had a simple Tone control and the ROCK/RAWK switch. The MkII got separate Treble and Bass and stuck to the Rock mode voicing as that mode handled fuzzes and boosts better. The MkIII is the most accurate in terms of having an actual Marshall preamp - and you get two distinct models to choose from - Super Lead or Super Bass.
Howard and I a few months ago actually whipped all three versions out and A/B/C'd them. The MkIII is without a doubt the closest in sound to his Marshalls. The previous versions are good, and I can see in certain rigs how someone could prefer earlier models to the current one. The v1 has a lot more compression, for instance. But the MkIII has the best dynamic response, the best volume knob clean-up, and takes boosts and fuzzes even better than the previous versions do.
We dont stop learning as we go - and when we can apply what we've been learning over the years to existing designs to make them the best they can be, well it's just what we do.”
