Pioneer DJ XDJ-RR: Bedroom to Main Room in One Portable Body

The Pioneer DJ XDJ-RR is a 2-channel all-in-one DJ system for rekordbox that packs two decks, a full mixer, and a 7-inch color screen into one lightweight, portable unit. It inherits design traits and essential features from Pioneer DJ's professional NXS2 multi player and mixer, so it delivers a genuinely club-style experience without separate players and a mixer. For the DJ who wants to learn on and perform with pro workflow but needs one grab-and-go piece of kit, the XDJ-RR bridges the bedroom and the main room.

NXS2-Inspired, All-in-One Design

Rather than assembling a booth from a mixer and two players, the XDJ-RR builds a complete 2-channel system into a single chassis. Its layout, screen, and controls draw directly from the NEXUS2 (NXS2) setup that headlines professional clubs, so the jog wheels, mixer section, and performance controls sit where a working DJ expects them. That means the habits and techniques you develop on the XDJ-RR carry straight over to the flagship CDJ-and-DJM gear you will find in the booth.

A 7-Inch Screen and Flexible Play Modes

A central 7-inch full-color screen shows what is happening on both decks at once, including playback status, BPM, and waveform, so you can build creative, smooth sets while keeping an eye on both tracks. The XDJ-RR lets you perform your own way: plug in a USB drive and play tracks directly, use Link Export mode to access your entire rekordbox library from a laptop without exporting to USB, or connect a PC or Mac with a single USB cable to harness rekordbox Performance mode. Two USB-A ports let you connect two drives at once for seamless transitions, back-to-back sets, or a backup.

A Mixer With Real DJM-900NXS2 Response

The mixer section is where the XDJ-RR feels most professional. Its EQs and channel faders use the same curves as the flagship DJM-900NXS2 club mixer, so cuts, blends, and EQ sweeps respond with club-grade precision. On top of that you get the popular Beat FX, Echo, Reverb, and Flanger, for shaping transitions and drops, plus Sound Color FX, Filter, Noise, Dub Echo, and Pitch, to add texture and tension across a channel. Together they give a two-channel setup the creative palette of a much larger rig.

Performance Controls and USB Recording

Dedicated performance buttons turn playback into an instrument. Trigger Hot Cues to remix a track in fresh sequences, chop loops on the fly with Beat Loop, use Slip Loop to re-introduce a track in exactly the right place, and jump around a track by the bar with Beat Jump. You can record your mix straight to a USB drive and load it back into rekordbox for easy editing, and an AUX input lets you plug in a phone or other device to play external audio through the system.

Lightweight, Portable, and rekordbox-Ready

At around 11.5 pounds, the XDJ-RR is easy to carry to practice sessions, house parties, and gigs, making it a true bedroom-to-booth machine. Connecting the unit to a PC or Mac unlocks rekordbox performance features, and with a rekordbox Creative plan subscription you can use Cloud Library Sync to manage your library across multiple devices and make custom track versions in Edit mode. It is a self-contained system that grows with you as your library and ambitions expand.

Who the XDJ-RR Is For

This is the system for the DJ who wants an all-in-one, rekordbox-based setup that feels like club gear, for the bedroom or intermediate DJ ready to move up from an entry controller to pro workflow, and for the mobile or event DJ who needs one lightweight unit that runs from USB or a laptop. It suits anyone building toward flagship CDJ-and-DJM equipment who wants to learn the layout now, and DJs who value the freedom to play from USB, Link Export, or full Performance mode.
