This is an incredible Gibson Memphis ES-275 Figured Limited. It was designed to be a more smaller comfortable hollow body guitar in the style of L-5. The stunning Montreux Burst finish was limited to 100 pieces. It complements the intricately figured maple/poplar/maple body construction. With its hollow construction and MHS (Memphis Historic Spec) Pickups, this model is smooth enough for jazz styles and still has the bite for country or blues. A stellar addition to the line.

MHS Pickups

Includes Certificate of Authenticity

The Gibson Memphis designed the ES-275 Figured based on input from players demanding modern playability from a traditional hollow body jazz guitar. Gibson began with the iconic L-5 body and made the dimensions more compact for comfort on long gigs. The neck comes from a Les Paul to offer additional frets and better access to them. And the MHS pickups used in the ES-275 Figured are quickly becoming a favorite at Sweetwater for their clarity and ability to bring the best in your hollowbody. The ES-275 Figured could easily become Gibson's next classic.

New body design from Gibson Memphis

It's not everyday that Gibson Memphis releases a brand new body style. So the ES-275 Figured is already a guitar to take note of. It shares more than a tip-of-the hat to the legendary Gibson L-5 in its curvaceous body and venetian cutaway. But player demand led Gibson to give the ES-275 Figured tighter dimensions, making it more comfortable to play. And classic maple tone wood construction is used for the way it adds note definition and sustain to the warmth and naturally round character of a hollowbody's tone.

Familiar Les Paul-style neck

The guitar's neck was another element Gibson Memphis took another look at with the ES-275 Figured. Players were also asking for additional frets and better access to them. Gibson looked to their very own Les Paul for inspiration instead of starting at square one. The neck boasts 22 frets and is set into the body to offer you easy access to each and every one of them. And your hand will immediately enjoy the rolled neck binding. It feels just like a familiar and well-worn guitar that you have been playing for years.

Pickups built just for Gibson hollow bodies

Because a new guitar design deserves a new electronics package, Gibson Memphis designed their MHS humbucking pickups to bring the absolute most out of their hollowbody models. You can expect the clarity and nuance of the best vintage PAF-style pickups, which balance wonderfully with the round tones the guitar's body naturally elicits. And the whole thing is controled via the Memphis Tone Circuit, which ensures great tonal control, and that you'll hear the full voice of your hollowbody electric guitar as you back your volume down.
