This is a 2015 Epiphone SG Special that is signed by Robbie Krieger and is accompanied by a picture of Robbie playing the guitar. It’s a cherry finish and a solid mahogany body with bolt on neck, rosewood fingerboard, two humbuckers, a 3-way toggle, and two knobs.

The tone knob also has a kill switch function which is super cool. It’s in great condition with only minimal scratches. The serial number is 15012305460.

Robby started out playing folk and flamenco guitar until he saw Chuck Berry play a Gibson 335. He had to have one and went to Ace loans and Guitar in Santa Monica to acquire his new dream guitar. Unfortunately, he couldn’t afford one, but had $180 that would get him a Gibson SG with P-90’s. He liked the double horns and thought it was sort of similar. It became his trademark instrument and basically was the sound of The Doors. Robby’s SG, Ray Manzarek’s Vox Continental Organ, John Densmore’s Mod Orange Ludwig Drums, and of-course the amazing voice of Jim Morrison created one of the sound of 60’s rock.

Robby was a finger picker and liked to take advantage of the long SG neck to get to the high fret positions. While he’s had a lot of SG’s and has gone back and forth between both Gibson and Epiphone.
