The Halcyon Green Overdrive Pedal from Origin Effects sports unique Adaptive circuitry that adapts the voicing to both pick attack and volume changes. If you’re looking for an interactive overdrive pedal that stands apart from the rest, you’ve found it! Molded from an overdrive classic, the Halcyon Green delivers delightful, screaming drive in its own right. Just take it for a test drive, and you’ll see the light!

Drive, saturation, voice — the Halcyon Green has it all

Don’t be fooled by this pedal's simplicity. You’ll find a collection of circuitry that works tirelessly within the Origin Effects Halcyon Green to provide voice, drive, and clean signal that can butt horns with the best of them. Also, it’s gain won’t putter out once you turn down that guitar volume or play a little softer, meaning when you invest in a Halcyon Green you won’t need that mound of overdrive pedals currently cluttering up your pedalboard. That’s right, the Halcyon Green has all the epic saturation you require!

All talk, with bite to match!

At first glance, you’ll probably notice the Adapt switch. This small yet powerful switch allows for mid-forward voicing to gradually fade while the pedal cleans up. That means full nail-biting distortion tones when you crank your volume knob and a full spectrum of clean tone when you roll it back. The Halcyon Green lets you essentially vary how “on” the pedal is through volume adjustment on the guitar and as well as through playing dynamics.

The control Factor

All in all, the Halcyon Green delivers all the stock sounds of beloved, gain-screaming pedals, but with the accuracy and control you’ve come to expect from Origin Effects. For example, you can choose from two Adapt settings, a Dry level control for adjusting clean signal, and experiment with Voice settings. With the Voice settings you can choose from that classic 808 mid hump or the Mod side for focused presence peak with plenty of brightness — this also works great to tighten up high-gain tones and supplies extra bite to humbuckers.
