A DECADENT TAKE ON OUR MOST POPULAR SEMI-HOLLOW
Featuring the Throwback Scroll-Style headstock and a decadent Laminated Quilt Maple top, the Excel DC XT offers unique upgrades to the widely popular standard Excel DC. With deep, comfortable cutaways and a slim C-shape neck profile offsetting its 16-inch-wide body shape, the Excel DC's playability is remarkable. Seymour Duncan 59 humbuckers provide a remarkable tonal range, from vintage-voiced warmth to glassy high-end, while its centerblock easily fights off feedback at high volumes. Now featuring a rosewood fingerboard, Jescar 47104 fretwire, and vintage-inspired Grover Imperial tuners. Available in Vintage Natural and Iced Tea Burst.
LAMINATED QUILT MAPLE TOP
Looking for a little more pop to your top? Our two most popular semi-hollow models are now available with a laminated quilt maple top for a vintage-inspired visual feast.
SEYMOUR DUNCAN 59’S WITH COIL-SPLITTING
Equal parts rich and clear across the tonal spectrum, USA Seymour Duncan 59 humbuckers offer vintage-inspired tones and remarkable articulation. Paired with coil-splitting push/pull tone knobs for maximum versatility.
THROWBACK SCROLL-STYLE HEADSTOCK
Featuring our Throwback Scroll-style Headstock shape, the Excel DC XT pays homage to the early days of John D’Angelico’s work, including 7-ply purfling and our throwback Excel Series inlay.
