(Rare because, Only 25 - 30 Ultra models were ever made! All of them were Made in Japan!!)
This very rare Ultra model guitar is in excellent condition!
The Fender D'Aquisto Ultra is the TOP-OF-THE-LINE archtop guitar made in Japan by/for Fender!
The tone from this guitar makes you want to play for hours. When played the tone produced by the wood (Spruce Top & Maple Back and Sides) sings to you!
BODY DIMENSIONS:
Lower Bout: 17 inches
Scale length: 25 1/2 inches
Nut width: 1 9/16 inches (YES, that is correct - See the Photo)
This guitar has a Solid book-matched hand-carved spruce top, a solid book-matched tiger flame maple back, and solid maple sides; Three-piece flamed maple neck with adjustable truss rod; Ebony fingerboard; Mother of pearl fingerboard and peghead inlay; 5ply body and headstock binding; triple bound fingerboard; and bound f-holes.
Hardware: Original solid ebony hardware includes contoured tailpiece, 5-ply bound pickguard with separate volume and tone controls and Endpin Jack; custom gold sealed tuners with ebony keys; and an Ebony Bridge and Tailpiece.
NOTE: This guitar has a Ken Armstrong floating humbucking pickup that was installed by Stephen Stern at the Fender Custom Shop! When I took this guitar to Stephen Stern, he was very impressed with the overall craftsmanship of the Japanese made Fender D'Aquisto Ultra guitar.
NOTE: Comes with the Original deluxe black arched plush lined hard-shell case.
