RARE vintage 1963 Grover Pat Pend nickel tuners for Gibson Les Paul es 335 175 sg flying v 330

From my private collection:  a rare set of early 60's Nickel Pat Pend tuners with black celluloid buttons.  Beautiful original condition.  For 3+ 3 headstocks.

This is a set of circa 1963 Grover PAT PEND tuners in nickel, with original beveled washers. The set is perfectly matched...no orphan parts*....comes with original screw-on ferrules.   Factory correct for some early Gibson guitars. Comes with the original wide beveled washer...these were in use in early 60s.

Correct characteristics for early 60s include the pat pend lettering in a circle and the black 'bump' at the end of the worm shaft. No other style features are correct for early 60s. (Tuners with a black FLAT end of the worm shaft are very late 60s).

This set is in excellent "vintage near mint" condition. The nickel has an awesome goldish patina.  This is as smooth a working set as you will find.....Set the tension screws in the buttons for as loose or firm action as you prefer. This set is in perfect working order....no binding or catching as many of them have. This is the pinnacle of vintage USA collecting....a vintage set that works better than any new set you will get today...especially the new Grover tuners made in Korea. One black button has a few surface scratches but not noticeable when installed.

I have seen very few complete sets of this type of tuner....this set is from my private stock, which I have had for years. I love the black buttons!! I use them on a number of my archtops...great vintage style.

Excellent usa vintage quality that is unsurpassed. If your vintage archtop or electric had Klusons and was routed out for Grovers, don’t go back to poor working Klusons….keep it vintage-correct with Grover PAT PENDS.
