The Sound of Justice FX | In Your Face Fuzz (BC183 silicon)

This is a remake of the Classic Silicon Fuzz Face. It is the sound of so many great fuzz sounds throughout history. This version is built on the BC183 transistor... the sound that is closest to the earlier germanium versions. It has all the familiar rip roaring fuzz sounds you'd expect and more.

With additional Calibrate (bias) control you can go from classic to loud and raunchy to spitty. The pre gain knob works similarly to your guitar volume control. With the Output and Fuzz dimed, rolling back your guitar's volume control yields sweat and beautiful cleaner overdrive tones. It's nice having this feature on the pedal so you can engage the effect with that sound in mind already. I included a 2 way toggle to control some of the lows at the input to open it up a bit more if you need to.

I make 3 versions of silicon In Your Face Fuzz: BC108 (definitive silicon sound, full, bright, bold); BC109 (more aggressive, slight bump in upper mids, lots of fuzz on tap, rumored to be used by David Gilmore for the "Time" era); BC183 (very popular version, very full, a little darker and sounds the most like old germanium transistors).
