Telefunken ELA E 130 b

  The Telefunken ELA E 130 b is a passive device that provides control of the apparent width as well as the horizontal position of a stereo image picked up by either MS or XY microphone technique. Inputs are provided for M (X), S (Y), and there is an additional M input for a center channel feed. MS or XY input is switch selectable. Output is MS only, so a matrix will be needed at the output to derive L and R. As the unit is entirely passive it presents a 34 dB insertion loss per channel which should be made up at the output. The unit will not work correctly unless is it fed from balanced sources (200 ohms or less) and feeding balanced devices (2,000 ohms or more.) It is composed entirely of precision resistors and the rotary switches are sealed and filled with silicon oil.
  I've listed this unit as mint, however it appears to have never been used. It is in the original box and comes with a brand new mating Tuchel T2701 connector. I will also provide good photocopies of the descriptive brochure, in German and English, as well as the schematic.
