Kay Value Leader Truetone three pickups 1964

a three pickup kay value leader.
wow this one is really cool
all three pickups work I added the bridge to make it play.
the bridge is not original it is metal and has more sustain than the original wooden one.
the tuners are not matched one side was replaced the foot print was the same so no extra holes were made. they hold tune but I would recommend putting a set of the reproduction klusons on there.
the selector knob is not original it is a pointer knob. the switch is not original either.
the guitar works and all three pickups work but it was wired with combinations of pickups.
to get it back to original you would need to have it rewired to off, bridge, middle, neck all
it sounds good the way it is.
the guitar plays well the 13th or 14 th fret frets out then it plays again so that fret is high you will need to file it down.
 

this is a cool piece of history and a great playing and sounding guitar.

Many issues are minor and fall under user maintenance. These are things that a buyer of vintage/used electronics should be able to maintain.

Tubes often once taken out of the sockets may need to be rearranged to obtain optimal performance in a tube unit.

Often tube sockets may need to be cleaned with deoxit when tubes are reinserted.

Pots can sometimes be scratchy or develop a flat spot from use. Deoxit is your best solution to resolve a minor issue.

Switches sometimes need to be cleaned or adjusted to make better contact.

guitar has numerous nicks dings scratches and scrapes you will need to work on polishing the chrome parts I am sure some of that will come up.

for shipping purposes only I will put this in some sort of gig bag or case to get it to you. but I have nothing that is original to the guitar or that fits it.
