1986/1987 Kramer American Pacer
** This guitar was pieced together with parts from different Kramer guitars from the early-mid 1980s.
The guitar is being sold as is, and no refunds.

Ask your questions before you bid to avoid having your feelings hurt later. I am being as honest as I can about this guitar with the limited amount of knowledge I have about the guitar. Please remember that the "Kramer Era" of guitars was innovative and evolving, but the changes were inconsistent and undocumented.
I bought the guitar sight unseen (except for the pictures posted) through an online estate auction.
I was told this guitar was 100% original; so I bought it. Because this guitar is not 100% original, I am selling it. **
The Neck
Maple neck with Rosewood fingerboard and reverse headstock
Please note that whomever put a left-handed neck on the guitar to achieve a reverse headstock look (see photo).
The tuners are Schaller and are stamped, made in West Germany. There is a small set of scratches near the neck-plate (see photo).
The Body
I'm not sure what the body is made of. The body appears to be a Custom 1 body that had an extra switch added. I’ve read that some of the bodies were made of plywood while others are made of Alder or Basswood. There is a small ding in the paint near the cannon-style input jack. I do believe it is a white in color and over-time it has developed a yellowish tint.
Electronics
Humbucker, Single, Single
I think they are Seymour Duncan but I have not and will not remove them to verify.
The volume pot has a capacitor 102k 100V (see photo). The volume pot has some crackling, but some contact relay cleaner should clear that up.
The thing I really like about this guitar is the 3-way switch under the Master Volume.
With the switch pointing up to the volume pot it is in Humbucker mode. With the switch in the Middle position the humbucker is split, in the down position it is a coil-tap.
The two switches behind the volume pot are for the single coil pickups. Up is on, Down is off. You can use either one or both of the single coils with the variations of the humbucker.
The 3rd switch can be used as a kill-switch provided one of the single coils is turned off.
The Trem
It has an original Floyd Rose with a trem lock (see photo). As I understand it, the Floyd Rose was built under license in West Germany by Schaller. The bar looks to be original. It has wear on the bottom side.
It is the screw in type (see photo)
The Case
The guitar case is also in very good condition. I was told that it was a tele-case, but it holds a strat just fine.
The case does have the smell of old smoke.
I will ship the guitar via FedEx Ground (Free Shipping) with something under the trem to prevent damage to the body should the strings break during shipment.
Willing to consider a trade for a Baritone or Tele
