Analog Soul in a Digital World

The quest for the perfect "ampless" rig usually ends with a compromise: the digital "sheen" and latency of a modeler. The DSM & Humboldt Simplifier X is the final solution for the purist. It is a 100% analog, zero-latency powerhouse that fits on your pedalboard, delivering the raw, tactile response of a tube amplifier because—electronically—it is an amplifier. No menus, no firmware updates, no DSP conversion. Just pure, reactive tone that behaves exactly like the legendary rigs it recreates.

Two Amps, No Limits

Unlike its predecessors, the Simplifier X features two completely independent, mirrored channels. This is not just a "channel switch"; it’s like having two high-end boutique amps running on your board.

  • Channel A (Hot-Rod): Designed for aggressive, expressive playing—from British chime to modern American high-gain saturation.

  • Channel B (Classic MK-II): The definitive home for clean to mid-gain crunch, perfect for blues, roots, and classic rock rhythm.

The Three Pillars of Performance
  1. A/B Mode (The Performance Rig): Operates like a traditional two-channel amp. Toggle between a sparkling clean and a searing lead with the included footswitch.

  2. A/B Amp + Stereo Cab (The 3D Image): Toggle between the preamps while keeping both cabinets active in the stereo field. This creates a massive, "produced" soundscape that stays wide and immersive regardless of your gain level.

  3. Full Parallel (The Studio Secret): Run both amplifiers simultaneously. Blend an American clean with a British crunch to create a custom "hybrid" tone that cuts through any mix with unprecedented clarity.

  • AC Brit TB: Based on the ‘60s Vox® AC-30 Top Boost. All the chime, but with the gain range of a modern rock machine.

  • MS 800: Based on the JCM 800. The definitive sound of 80s hard rock and heavy metal.

AMP B: The "Classic MK-II" (Black Knobs)

  • AC Brit: Based on the ‘60s Vox® AC-15 Normal channel. Pure, dynamic, and touch-sensitive.

  • USA: Based on the ‘59 Bassman. The foundation of American tone—big lows and sparkling highs.

  • MS Brit: Based on the ‘59 Plexi. The vintage British crunch that defined the golden era of rock.
