Joe Gagan's modded take on the classic 1967 through 69 classics was inspired by the classic recordings of the early guitar heroes of the wah era.

Gagan's sonic goal was to recreate the magic, buttery, vocal sweetness of the originals that were the cream of the crop, and take the tone a step further!

*tuning notes:
First, set bias where you like the growl or lows. Then set volumes. To get more spectrum and definition in low and mid, turn prevol up and volume down. For more standard wah sound, do the opposite. Or, for another hendrixey approach, try the Mike Bluni method. Turn volumes UP and bias to halfway between CCW & CW. PCBS and components will look different, we are always improving.*some* parts may not match photos, but we never downgrade anything. always upward.

tuning notes:

set BIAS first. this is the key to low end and growl. once the voicing is where you want it, then set volumes and other trims

there is a wee treble enhancement to the way the two volumes work. if you want more spectrum and harmonics, turn PRE VOL UP and VOL down. for a more traditional wah sound without the enhanced treble, do the reverse of that.  important to note, this affects the bass end more than anything else, with the enhanced treble. your notes will retain a little more presence or attack. in addition, you will hear a more organic guitar tone throughout the full range. note- in certain high gain setups, the enhanced treble may wipe out some of the bass signal as fuzz or gain are designed to emphasize mids and treb in most cases.
