The dark, smooth, matte finish on these drums comes from a hand-applied, wax-based sealer, which protects the all-maple shell, lets the wood grain show through, and gives the collection a deceptively understated look. The Black Wax Snares come in six sizes, all made with 10-ply maple shells, so you can find an appropriate snare for virtually any musical scenario. Each size offers its own mix of warm, maple depth, focused articulation, and just the right pop. Choose from 6”x12”, 7”x13”, 5.5”x13”, 5.5”x14”, 6.5”x14”, and the scrappy 6”x10”.
