Kent Armstrong Archtop Series Smooth Sam 7 String Side Mount Humbucker Pickup This is the 7 string version of Kent Armstrong's super popular jazz humbucking pickup. Epoxy casting inside the cover allows for the added coil to give a sweet mini-humbucker tone. The extended cover allows for use with traditional 7 string arch-top electrics. This is the same pickup used by Eastman on their 7 string archtops. It is only available as a side-mount (pickguard mount) due to varying neck sizes from manufacturer to manufacturer. Just like Kent's 6 string versions, this pickup is made in the tradition of the 'Johnny Smith' endorsed Gibsons introduced in the early 1960s.
