PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:  Techno Empire is honored to present for sale the historic Sunset Sound Bushnell API Recording Console.

Originally commissioned in 1969 by Sunset Sound Studio it immediately became the centerpiece of production and recording for an endless stream of iconic artists and albums throughout the 1970's and 80's.

This working artifact is currently owned by Producer/Artist T Bone Burnett and responsible for close to 20 years of notable Albums, Soundtracks, and TV Scores while under his command.

The diversity of successful albums and artists that recorded on this console is truly staggering. It is nothing short of a parade of influential and timeless recordings. This console is magic!

ACCESSORIES INCLUDED: The console desk includes a bottom platform that raises the desk up to standard level. A variety of related parts and accessories and cables are included.

• Includes a variety of API Modules, Neve Flying Faders and Amp Cards as seen in photos.

The console is in very good working condition with the typical kinds of occasional staticky pots, switches, and anomalies that one would expect from a 50+-Year-old console. The console was in full service and recording albums for T Bone and his artists up until it was decommissioned in early 2020.

The desk has become something more than just a legend with an amazing hit track record, but a timeless historical artifact worthy of being preserved in a museum. However, being that it has been such a reliable and enduring contributor to musical history, and given that it has been lovingly cared for by T Bone and the services of Charlie Bolois of Vertigo Recording services over the years, it seems it still has many many stories to tell. We are hoping to find a buyer that will keep its musical legacy going for decades to come.
