About This Listing

This is a 1963 Fender Deluxe non Reverb. Chassis # A00106...which means this was the 7th chassis stamped, as they started at A0100.

The tube chart says production #2 and dated Dec, '63. so that means this was probably about the 200-225th Deluxe off the line. All the other speaker and date codes can be seen in the pics.

This amp is 100% original and untouched. Every screw, tube, wire, etc. is just as it left Fender. With that said, the amp functions OK-ish but would definitely benefit from a cap job. Since it is untouched and pure as... well, there's not much pure these days.....I'll leave that up to the new owner's discretion. I'll be happy to ship it as-is or give it a full cap job with 3 prong cable (for free) if the new owner wishes. Please let me know what you would like at time of purchase.

The amp comes with its original footswitch and booklet (although it must have gotten damp at some point as it doesn't fold open).

As the pics show, the amp is in remarkably good shape with only a few tolex blemishes on the bottom corners and a cracked handle.

Again, serial #A00106...That's kinda cool!

Product Overview
The Black Panel Fender Deluxe, produced from 1964 - 1967, is one of the most storied vintage guitar amps ever built. This non-reverb model was essentially a beefed-up Princeton with a 12" speaker hit by 20 watts of power from a pair of 6V6 tubes, and separate Normal and Vibrato inputs. The Deluxe packs a ton of clean headroom and takes well to pedals, and the vibrato circuit is actually a fair amount cleaner than the Deluxe Reverb thanks to having one less gain stage. The Deluxe Amp will cut through the mix in any recording situation and even mid-sized clubs, making it a true workhorse that continues to climb in value.
