Gold Tone Mandocello Electro Acoustic

The Goldtone Mandocello is an 8-string folk instrument that features a host of deluxe appointments whilst maintaining an affordable price point that isn't offered elsewhere.

A Mandocelllo takes its place within the Mandolin family as the baritone/bass member. Its 8 strings are grouped into 4 pairs which are tuned in unison, with the instrument tuned CGDA; tuned in 5ths as a regular Mandolin. 

This Goldtone Mandocello features a cutaway body constructed with a solid spruce top set with classic f holes and complimented with maple back and sides. The body hosts an adjustable ebony bridge in addition to an ebony tailpiece. Married to the body is a neck topped with a fingerboard set with dot inlays and 20 frets.

Not only great as a straight acoustic instrument, but when required the Goldtone Mandocello can be plugged in and amplified courtesy of the dual pickup system, with a jazz-style floating humbucker at the neck and a transducer pickup in the bridge. Two controls, fixed to the pickguard give you a master volume and a blend control, for going between the two pickups.

The Mandocello continues the expansion of Gold Tone's innovative "Folkternative" initiative, aimed at giving players a wide selection of plucked instruments at affordable prices.
