I'm honestly not sure what this PU came out of... from my parts drawer, my guess is that it is from a Korean Squier Strat, late 80's. The only Squiers I've ever owned were late 80's and actually decent. As you can see, it is a 2-wire, has a magnet underneath, and has non-staggered poles. It has decent o/p (5.5 ohms)... in the range of standard 50's vintage Strat pickups. The reason I believe Korean: the wire is marked "Shinhwa". I think this is good, because Korean pickups are of good quality.
