I do recommend a roller bridge for these Vibrola tremolos as they do enhance tuning stability! (add $34.95 for Allparts roller bridge) This item is a Long Gibson® Style Maestro Vibrato Tailpiece With Arm. These distinctive vintage replacement tremolo's are available in nickel finish. These are replicas of OEM equipment on Gibson® guitars. The nickel plated version was used on Gibson® & Epiphone SG Standard guitars & Firebirds. Gold version was used on SG & Firebird Customs and ES-345 models. Pretty exact to Gibson Maestro Vibrola look and feel with lyre. Install screws are included with vibrola, please see a guitarsmith/luthier for proper install.

Measure the width between the screw holes on the vibrola with a ruler or measuring tape, and mark the two corresponding spots on the guitar with a pencil in the spot where the old stop tail piece had been. Use the drill to create two holes. Use a bit that drills holes the same size as the screws included with the vibrola. Depending on your guitar, you might need a ground wire attached from electronics inside to the post or Vibrola itself. See video here for more details. Attach the Maestro vibrola to the guitar with a screwdriver using the provided screws, and tighten. Attach the cover plate to the base, securing with the small provided screws, and attach the arm.
