Power
The MXR Bass Octave Deluxe is powered by one 9-volt battery (remove bottom plate to install), a 9-volt AC Adapter such as the Dunlop ECB003/ECB003EU, or a DC Brick power supply.
Directions
- Run a cable from your guitar to the Bass Octave Deluxe’s INPUT jack and run another cable from the Bass Octave Deluxe’s OUTPUT jack to your amplifier.
- Start with all controls at 12 o’clock.
- Turn the effect on by depressing the footswitch.
- Rotate DRY knob clockwise to increase level of dry signal or counterclockwise to decrease it.
- Rotate the GROWL knob clockwise to increase level of throaty midrange sub-octave voice or counterclockwise to decrease it.
- Rotate the GIRTH knob clockwise to increase level of smooth, deep sub-octave voice or counterclockwise to decrease it.
- Depress MID+ switch to boost midrange. Frequency and level are both adjustable via internalslider (up for 850Hz, down for400Hz) and trim pot (+4dB when fully clockwise, +14dB fully counterclockwise).
