Mojotone Johnny Winter Firebird Pickup Set - Chrome

In 2014, Johnny Winter teamed up with Mojotone to recreate his iconic sound with is signature Firebird pickup.

Based on his original Firebird pickups, these utilize the same exact materials and specs using aged cast Alnico magnets, vintage spec 42 gauge wire, and a steel reflector plate. We carefully balanced the neck and bridge pickups for more even output and response between all positions.

We took the original vintage Firebird specs a step further with our own winding recipe to bring out a much broader frequency response and dynamic range with more output and sustain.

Johnny was proud of these beautiful sounding pickups and wanted to share his legendary tone with the world. Mojotone is honored to release his long desired signature pickups.

I have had a full set of these in one Firebird, and just installed a bridge pickup in my Firebird 1. Huge up-grade in tone...very vintage sounding, clear, clean, bright, bold, defined, fully potted, react great to the tone control on your guitar, and they love pedals. Customer support from Mojotone is outstanding. Thanks guys, you rock...now I do too!

This JW set is really amazing. Before placing the order, I read the reviews for the set and some people wrote this set transformed the guitar but I still had a doubt about how it was. After checking the following demo , I ordered the set and today found the set really transformed the guitar !!!!
I have vintage Tele and Strat and Custom Shop SG custom. Certainly the sound itself is different from each other but each of them has a similar vintage taste (sorry I don't know how to express its feeling). Anyway all I want to say is that nobody will regret for buying this set if you like a vintage FB sound !!!
PS: It took 8 weeks to get the set after placing the order even though I live in Japan.
