Electric 8 string Mandobass Conversion made from a brand new Ibanez Mikro Electric bass Guitar
Tuning: GG DD AA EE (2 octaves below mandolin)

      I modified the headstock to accommodate 8 new sealed guitar tuners. Devised a custom bridge ( fully compensating for string height and intonation. Modified the nut, dressed the frets, And did a full setup on the instrument for great playability. The results are great, the instrument plays very well with good tone, sustain, and intonation.
    The strings used for the mandobass are: GG (0.074) - DD (0.048) - AA (0.036) - EE (0.022w). The strings are standard D’Addario nickel ball end electric



Remember, this is NOT an electric bass guitar. It is an electric mandobass.
