Here it is... Neil Young's "Old Black", made with every attention to detail.
We started with a genuine, 2018 made in USA, Gibson Les Paul Classic and completely transformed it to look just like Neils! This guitar plays, feels, and sounds amazing!
-USA B7 Bigsby vibrato -Wire from stop bar post to ground Bigsby just like Neil's.
-Filled Nashville bridge posts and redrilled for ABR-1, brass saddle bridge w/screws facing forward
-Gibson P-90 neck pickup w/ modified cover
-Gibson Firebird (recent model) mini-humbucker bridge pickup -stripped gold headstock decal and added a MOP Gibson "wheat stack" inlay, partially blackened.
-routed channel around headstock
-aged gold/amber knobs - white pickup selector ring w/ yellowed switch tip -authentic patina and wear to the black nitro lacquer in all the right places -Schaller M-6 tuning machines -hand made solid aluminum back covers (including the extra mystery cover)
-mini toggle switch that send the bridge pickup directly to the jack -added a painted back stripe to look as if it's worn off like the original -hand wired with Orange Drop caps -washers on strap buttons -Peace/dove strap -Hardshell case stenciled similar to the original. -hand rolled fret edges for a smooth, vintage feel
A ton of work has gone into this to make it look AND feel like an authentic vintage Gibson...and it does! Does it sound just like Neil's??? Nothing sounds like Neil's! That's what makes his so special...BUT, with the right amp and pedals this can get very close!
Comes with a hardshell case, a signed COA, and a ton of case candy.
