First impression was not just an old Marshall clone, it actually sounded like an all equal parts combination of a 59 Tweed Bassman, a JTM 45 and a late 60's Plexi all in one. It sort of took the best flavors of each respective amp. It has that thick juicy JTM 45 thing making you want to dig in but it also has a great chime on top like a Bassman. The Plexi thing comes out as you turn it up but what's amazing is that it keeps its composure all the way to 11. It is a 4 input Marshall style setup but the treble volume and normal volume work really well and contrast each other perfectly. If you plug into the lower input 1 or lower input 2 they are much less hot than the top inputs making for some interesting combos when you blend.
