Adam Nitti is an accomplished professional bassist with many fans here at Sweetwater, and his Ibanez signature 5-string is designed to facilitate his impressive playing technique. The ANB205's comfortable, lightweight swamp ash body delivers solid fundamentals and rich harmonics, while the maple neck and fingerboard lend a strong upper midrange and crisp, brilliant highs. The ANB205 is a bright, full-spectrum instrument that's right at home in the hands of a virtuoso, and to facilitate soloing, the rear of the lower horn features an extra scoop that provides easier access to the higher register. For the electronics, Adam selected Bartolini 59CBJD pickups, a venerable passive design that features extended frequency range with enhanced resonance, so you get more treble definition and air without sacrificing punchy lows and low midrange. The pickups are cast in epoxy to eliminate microphonics and feedback.
