Originally introduced in 1963 as a student drum, the Ludwig Acrolite quickly became the choice of pro players in need of dry, cracking snare tone.
New in 2016, the Hammered 6.5"x14" version of the classic Aluminum Acrolite is a great addition to the already vast arsenal of great Ludwig snare drums. The hammering adds a bit of complexity to the dryness of the aluminum shell, while the added depth makes the 6.5" version surprisingly meatier than it's 5"x14" counterpart.
Made in Monroe, NC. USA and featuring chrome Classic dual snare lugs, P85 strainer, and Blue/Olive Badge.
