The Tascam US-4x4HR is a 4-in/4-out high-resolution USB audio and MIDI interface from the US-HR series, recording and playing back at up to 24-bit/192 kHz. Four Ultra-HDDA mic preamps with an EIN of -128 dBu deliver transparent, low-noise capture through combo XLR/TRS inputs. Inputs 1 and 2 support instrument-level (Hi-Z) signals for direct guitar and bass recording, and all four inputs have independent +48V phantom power.
Outputs and Monitoring
Four balanced 1/4" TRS line outputs drive multiple monitor setups or feed external gear. Two front-panel headphone outputs with independent level controls support simultaneous monitoring for two performers. Zero-latency direct monitoring ensures real-time playback without delay.
Streaming and Podcasting
The built-in loopback function returns computer audio to streaming software, switchable between stereo and mono. Native OBS Studio support and iOS/iPadOS compatibility make the US-4x4HR a versatile hub for podcasts and live streams.
Bundled Software
Included software covers the full production workflow: Steinberg Cubase LE and Cubasis LE 3 for DAW recording, IK Multimedia SampleTank 4 SE with a 30 GB sound library, and a 3-month subscription to Antares Auto-Tune Unlimited.
