The John 5 Phantom Telecaster® is his take on a Tele built for high-gain playing: an all-black instrument with a matching headcap, two DiMarzio® D Activator™ humbuckers and a Floyd Rose® double-locking tremolo. John 5 has played Telecasters throughout a career that runs through David Lee Roth, Rob Zombie and Mötley Crüe, and this signature model keeps the shape he loves while taking it well past traditional Tele territory.

The controls are stripped to the essentials — a single volume knob, a three-way pickup switch and a killswitch for stutter effects. The custom medium "C" maple neck carries a 12" radius ebony fingerboard with 22 narrow tall frets, and the Floyd Rose® FRTS2000 tremolo with locking nut holds its tuning through heavy use of the bar.
