You don't see these very often - this is practically brand new (got from Sweetwater about 2 months ago) and had all of the chrome blacked out to give it a noir effect. It. Looks. Gorgeous. The newest Rickenbackers also have a much skinner neck than previous years - it plays and sounds incredible! And check out the grain on that neck!
The chrome was blacked using the same treatment that auto shops use to blacken tire chrome, and then coated with a ceramic coating. I assume that if it lasts for tires it will last for basses!
The bass is in perfect condition, with the exception of mark on the headstock (see pic). It came to me that way from Rickenbacker/Sweetwater. While it's hard to show in the pictures, the pickguard is actually a black sparkle, looks great in person. I will include the original hardshell case and white pickguard.
I'd love to keep this, but unfortunately just got laid off.
