E-MU Systems - PM5 Speaker Pair in Boxes! Nice!

FANTASTIC near-field studio monitors with audiophile-quality class A (front) discrete MOSFET power amplifiers.

Overview

E-MU's new PM5 Precision Monitor has been designed from the ground up to deliver hyper-accurate audio in a compact design. From its custom audiophile amplifiers (Class-A input and MOSFET output stages) to its world-class drivers and premium cabinet, the PM5 offers superior imaging and hi-end transient detail with linear frequency response rivaling compact nearfield monitors over twice the price. Professional features like overload protection, balanced/unbalanced inputs, and treble, bass and input sensitivity controls ensure that the PM5 will seamlessly integrate into any studio environment.

Features:
Radiused edges reduce cabinet edge diffraction to provide superior imaging

Premium neodymium soft dome high-frequency driver delivers unsurpassed high frequency performance

Dual-mode LED shows power status and indicates when overload protection circuitry engages to prevent damage to drivers

Premium glass fiber low-frequency driver delivers outstanding linear response

Solid cabinet design features 1 in. thick baffle to eliminate internal resonance

Flow-optimized port provides low distortion and articulate bass

Custom 40W/40W bi-amped power section (with discrete Class-A input stage, MOSFET output stages and active crossover) has been carefully tuned to minimize aural fatigue and maximize audio precision

Balanced Neutrik (XLR and 1/4 in.) and unbalanced RCA inputs provide connections to all of your studio equipment

Treble, Bass and input Sensitivity controls allow you to calibrate the PM5 to your specific acoustic environment and set input levels
