This is a Novation MiniNova 18-voice synthesizer, modified into a compact desktop sound module by removing the keyboard.

Why? Well, if you've owned a MiniNova, you may know that its keybed isn't exactly its strongest feature. Which is a shame, because underneath it is an AMAZING synthesizer — powerful, versatile, and capable of some fantastic sounds.

So, I decided to eliminate the weakest link. Literally. 😂

Meet the "SKINI-Nova"!

I removed the keyboard section and securely sealed the underside with black Gorilla tape. Admittedly a DIY job, but quite presentable, especially since the underside isn't visible during use. I'm also including two custom 3D-printed stands (pictured).

I've used it successfully as a sound module, both with external MIDI keyboards and through my DAW using the available MiniNova VST editor, which provides convenient access to deeper synthesis parameters.

Functionally, everything works perfectly, and it sounds fantastic! The unit is in excellent cosmetic condition apart from the disclosed modification. Just connect a MIDI controller or computer and you're good to go.

Included:

• MiniNova synthesizer (keyboard removed)
• Two white 3D-printed support stands
• DC power adapter

Why am I selling? I recently picked up an UltraNova, which shares the same synthesis architecture and has full-size keys.

If you're looking for that excellent MiniNova sound engine in a compact, desktop-friendly format, here's your chance!
