The original Fender pickup features 6 pole pieces (not 4!), delivering an authentic vintage Fender tone with expressive mids, a crisp attack, and a notably warm sonic character. It sounds more open and slightly brighter than a Mustang Bass, possessing a distinct sonic personality all its own—ideal for rock, pop, garage, and vintage-style sounds.
