This is a beautiful 1970 example of Gibson’s top-of-the-line archtop! This Master Model L-5 CES is in great overall condition with a few welcome updates, including a neck reset with some associated overspray, along with a new nut and frets for excellent playability. Everything else is stock, and this is now a killer player sporting a fast and comfortable medium/slim neck profile. Sonically, it is outstanding, with incredible acoustic resonance from the carved Spruce top and a super smooth, rich amplified tone full of nuance and clarity. A holy grail Jazz guitar that plays every bit as good as it sounds! Includes a non-original hardshell case.
