E-mu Systems Proteus/2 Orchestral, a 16-bit multitimbral digital sound module in a 1U 19-inch rackmount chassis. It is built on 4 MB of 16-bit orchestral samples taken from the Emulator III library (strings, brass, woodwinds, percussion and keyboards), with 32-voice polyphony and 16-part multitimbral operation over MIDI. Presets can be layered up to eight sounds per key, with 64 user-programmable preset locations. Outputs are three stereo pairs, plus MIDI In, Out and Thru. Front panel has Master, Edit and Enter buttons, a cursor button, a data wheel and a volume knob. A classic early-1990s sound source for orchestral parts, pads and layered sounds. Fully working, used in a professional studio. Local pickup in Miami, FL; shipping available.
