Unlike typical noise gates that dull or choke your dynamics, the NGR-1 uses a THAT Corporation™ VCA — a studio-grade voltage-controlled amplifier powered internally at 30VDC from a standard 9V supply.
This provides nearly infinite headroom and zero distortion, allowing your sound to stay open, punchy, and natural — even at extreme gain levels.

You can store up to 16 presets with different threshold settings, or use A/B mode for instant switching between two configurations — ideal for amps with multiple channels or clean/lead setups.
All settings are fully MIDI-controllable, so you can integrate the NGR-1 into complex rigs with seamless automation.

Two modes of operation — Hard Gate and Reduction — let you choose between total silence for modern metal precision, or gentle attenuation for more dynamic playing styles.
