Bridges Hardware and Software with Ease - The Arturia KeyStep mk2 Compact Controller and Sequencer

The Arturia KeyStep mk2 is a powerful 32-note controller and sequencer built for modern hybrid setups. It bridges hardware and software with ease, combining a Slimkey keyboard, performance-ready sequencer and arpeggiator, and deep connectivity via CV/Gate, MIDI DIN, Sync I/O, and USB-C so you can compose, jam, and perform wherever inspiration hits.

• 32-note Slimkey keybed with velocity and aftertouch
• Polyphonic step sequencer with up to 64 steps and 8-note polyphony per step
• 16-mode arpeggiator for everything from simple patterns to evolving textures
• Real-time performance controls with pitch & mod touch strips plus live Gate/Spice/Dice sliders
• Generative tools including Mutate, Spice & Dice for instant musical variation
• Chord and Scale modes to lock into a key and trigger full chords with one finger
• Four assignable CV/Gate outputs to control modular and analog gear
• Full-size MIDI DIN In/Out and 3.5 mm Sync I/O for vintage and modern hardware
• USB-C for DAW integration and bus-powered operation in most setups
• Three operation modes: Sequencer, Arpeggiator, and MIDI/CV Controller
• OLED display with push-encoder and full RGB feedback for fast, intuitive editing
• TRS sustain/expression input and MIDI-to-CV conversion for flexible control

More than just keys, KeyStep mk2 is a creative nerve center. Capture a riff, flip into Sequencer mode, and turn it into a full pattern; then use Mutate, Spice, and Dice to evolve it in real time. Arpeggiator mode offers 16 different arp types—like Poly, Walk, Pattern, and Random—while Phrase Arp lets you remap sequences to the notes you play for instant, musical transformations.

In Controller mode, KeyStep mk2 becomes the hub of your rig, sending notes, chords, and modulation via MIDI, USB, and CV. Use the four CV/Gate outputs to control pitch, gate, and modulation on your modular system, while MIDI DIN and USB-C keep your DAW, drum machines, and external synths locked in time via Sync I/O.

Whether you’re sketching ideas in the studio, driving a live hardware rig, or streaming a performance, KeyStep mk2 keeps your workflow fluid: overdub notes, chain patterns, record automation, and reshape sequences on the fly without ever breaking your groove.
