Here's a 1943 Gibson Banner J-45 in Sunburst. Fantastic playing and sounding non truss rod example. Just a great players grade piece here. The body and neck have been refinished. The head stock is the original finish. At some point the guitar had larger tuners on, and now has repro strip tuners on. And as you can see in the pictures, there are several repaired cracks. The bridge has been changed, and there's some extra bracing reinforcement inside. The guitar is super solid now, and sounds like a cannon! Pickguard is repro. As mentioned, this is a non truss rod example. As they were on these models, the neck is big and round. It ain't moving! Playability is fantastic, with consistent easy playing action from top to bottom. It has an excellent refret, so it's good to go for the long haul. And again, huge, full tone, with plenty of warmth and bottom end. Sounds how you'd except a great ol' J-45 to sound! Nice aftermarket HSC included..
