Product Details

The Eventide BLACKHOLE is a reverb pedal from the American audio equipment brand Eventide, designed to pursue unique spatial expression.

It condenses the brand's Blackhole algorithm, known for its high-quality studio-grade effects technology, into a compact enclosure.

Its appeal lies in its ability to create a grand and ethereal sound, unlike the reverberation of typical halls and rooms, making it suitable for ambient and post-rock music.

This unit features controls for SIZE, GRAVITY, MIX, PREDLY, Q, and DEPTH, allowing for fine-tuning of reverberation spread, decay, and tonal changes.

GRAVITY allows for not only normal decay but also a unique reverberation that spreads in the opposite direction.

The FREEZE function allows you to sustain the reverb sound, creating an ethereal drone sound.

Furthermore, it supports preset saving, external control via MIDI, and real-time operation using an expression pedal,

providing a wealth of features for flexible use from live performances to recording.

The sound is characterized by a deep, endlessly expanding reverberation that transcends the boundaries of typical reverb.

With subtle settings, it adds a natural depth to the original sound, while setting the reverberation deeply creates a dreamy space where the contours of the sounds seem to blend together.

Even simply playing chords slowly produces a rich resonance, and single-note phrases create an impressive, long-lasting reverberation.

It pairs well with synthesizers and guitars, and is excellent for creating grand soundscapes like ambient, shoegaze, and film scores.

Recommended for those seeking a deep, dreamy sound that cannot be achieved with conventional reverb.

Its appeal lies in its ability to add unique spatial expression to music, from deep, expansive reverberation to sustained drone sounds.

This is a unit that we highly recommend for those who want to add rich resonance to guitar arpeggios and chord playing, as well as those who enjoy sonic expression using synthesizers and experimental sound creation.
