Amphion Amp700 Power Amp + Yamaha NS-10M Studio Monitors Pair Complete Nearfield

Condition: Used – Excellent

Item specifics: Brand Amphion, Yamaha · Model Amp700, NS-10M · Type Studio Monitor System · Bundle Listing Yes · Items Included Power Amplifier, Speakers

Description:

Complete, proven nearfield monitoring rig from a professional Los Angeles scoring studio: an Amphion Amp700 stereo power amplifier and a matched pair of Yamaha NS-10M monitors, sold together as they were used together. Plug in two XLRs and a pair of speaker cables and you are mixing.

Why this pairing: the NS-10M is the industry's translation check, and it only shows its real midrange when it is fed by an amp with current and damping to spare. The Amp700's 350 W per side into 8 ohms is overkill in the best way, keeping the woofers under control at any level. This is the combination many LA rooms run.

Amphion Amp700:

• 2 × 350 W at 8 ohms, 2 × 700 W at 4 ohms, Class D with Class A buffer stage
• 117 dB dynamic range, 0.006% THD+N
• Neutrik XLR in, binding post out, universal mains, 2U rack, 11 lb
• Assembled in Finland

Yamaha NS-10M pair:

• Original 7-inch white cone woofers and soft dome tweeters, tested, no rubs or rattles
• 8 ohms, 60 W program / 120 W max, 90 dB
• 13 lb each, made in Japan, serials in photos
