Vintage Beyerdynamic M500N
This is Beyer's classic handheld ribbon mic, made in West Germany sometime in the '70s or '80s. It's a ribbon built like a stage mic, so you get smooth, warm, natural ribbon tone in a sturdy handheld body. Highs are never harsh, and the tight pickup pattern helps it reject bleed better than most ribbons. It's voiced with a gentle low-end roll-off, which keeps it from getting boomy up close.
That makes it great on vocals, snare, horns, and loud guitar cabs. Up close the low end fills in nicely. It's a ribbon you can actually take out of the studio.
Included:
- Beyerdynamic M500N, serial 19944
- Case
- Tuchel-to-XLR adapter cable
Condition: Works well. Light scuffs on the body and a small chip on the bottom ring near the connector. The grille is in good shape.
Smoke-free studio. Ships carefully packed. Feel free to ask questions.
