Here for sale we have an Epiphone Byrdland Elitist Hollow Body Electric Guitar in Blonde finish. The Epiphone Elitist range was a premium, Japanese-made line of guitars that are considered to be the highest-end Epiphone models that aren't made in the USA or actual Gibsons. Using the best components, and top-tier manufacture techniques, it's easy to see why the Elitist range is so well revered. Made in Japan in 2004, this guitar consists of a Solid Spruce top, AAA Flamed Maple back and sides, a 5-piece Maple and Rosewood neck, and a 22-fret Ebony fingerboard. Other appointments include Grover tuners with Imperial buttons, a Compensated Inlaid Ebony bridge, a Byrdland Loop/Trapeze tailpiece, and a set of Gibson 50SR/ST Humbuckers. These pickups are wired to two independent volume controls, to independent tone controls, and a three-way pickup selector.

The 5-piece Maple and Rosewood neck plays very well, with the slim-feeling 'C' profile filling the hand nicely for a substantial grip on chords, whilst remaining slim enough for fast articulate playing. The Ebony fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers and offers a smooth and durable playing surface right the way up the register. The neck binding and block inlays are nice touches which make the instrument feel premium and unique. The 12" radius works in conjunction with the medium jumbo frets to provide a rock solid and nicely flat playing surface across the register, well suited to a wide range of styles.

The Gibson 50SR and 50ST humbuckers provide classic jazz voicings whilst also being versatile enough to cover a wide variety of tonal styles. They are clear and articulate, and while they are not best suited to high gain they respond well to low/mid overdrive, great for solos or an extra bit of grit. The bridge pickup has beautiful clarity, allowing for shimmering trebles to ring through whilst the middle position is the best of both the neck and bridge pickup, creating smooth and defined voicings. The neck position has rounded creamer tones great for chordal phrasings or quick jazz style lines.
