Up for sale is a beautiful vintage Gibson EH-100 six-string lap steel guitar, and finished in a gorgeous traditional sunburst.

A killer piece of Gibson's early electric guitar history! These EH-series lap steels have a character and aesthetic all their own, and this one is a particularly charming example. From the elegant hourglass-shaped body and warm sunburst finish to the classic Gibson script logo, it's everything we love about these early electric instruments.

The guitar features a rosewood fingerboard with distinctive dot position markers, cream body binding, open-gear Grover tuners with aged cream buttons, a single pickup with chrome cover, and two black control knobs. The back of the body is stamped 556-9.

Cosmetically, the guitar remains in very respectable vintage condition, displaying honest wear from decades of age and use. There are various scratches, scuffs, small finish chips, and areas of finish checking throughout, particularly along the edges and on the upper body. The chrome hardware shows light oxidation and surface wear, while the tuners have developed some attractive age-related patina.

Nothing here takes away from the instrument's unmistakable vintage character. It has a wonderful, naturally aged appearance while remaining a great-looking example of this classic Gibson design.

Included is a fantastic vintage shaped hardshell case featuring a textured exterior and striking purple interior. The case shows considerable exterior wear, particularly around the edges and handle, but makes a terrific companion to the instrument.

A wonderful opportunity to own an authentic piece of Gibson's early electric guitar heritage. Whether you're a dedicated lap steel player, vintage Gibson collector, or simply someone who appreciates the artistry of prewar musical instruments, this EH-100 has plenty to offer.
