Here for sale we have a Fender Highway One Stratocaster Electric Guitar in Black finish. Made in the USA in 2008, this guitar features a bolt-on construction comprising an Alder body, Maple neck and 22 fret Maple fingerboard. The guitar is equipped with a chrome 6-Saddle Vintage-Style Synchronized Tremolo and Fender sealed tuning machines. The pickups installed on this guitar are a set of three Hot Single-Coil Strat Pickups. These are wired to a master volume, neck tone, middle tone, and a 5-way pickup selector. 

The Maple neck plays very well, with Fender's popular Modern 'C' profile feeling fluid in the hand and providing comfortable playability in all registers. The 9.5" fingerboard radius strikes a fine balance between vintage-inspired feel and practicality for modern techniques. This is enhanced further by medium jumbo frets which improve the feel of string bending and vibrato techniques. The familiar lines of the Stratocaster body are as comfortable in the arms as ever, whilst the naturally aged thin lacquer finish feels smooth to the touch and adds authenticity to the vintage vibe of the instrument. 

The trio of Hot Single-Coil Strat pickups installed in the Highway One deliver traditional Stratocaster sounds, with vintage accurate control wiring that continues the overall theme of the instrument. The warmth of the neck position is nicely contrasted by the brightness found in the bridge, whilst the often overlooked middle pickup provides all of the funky sounds you could possibly need. The famous Strat 'Honk' sounds are present in positions 2 & 4, completing a traditional but versatile as ever package of sounds for the modern player.

Aesthetic Condition:

Headstock: Overall very good condition. Light to mild indentations are present to the edges of the headstock, the most apparent of these is located to the front face treble side edge near the Stratocaster decal. All aspects of the headstock display light to mild discoloration , the most apparent of these can be seen on the front face treble side edge.

Neck: Overall very good condition. Light scratching is present to the fingerboard, these are located at the 14/15th frets and 19th fret, these can only be seen under direct light and can not be felt in the playing position.

Body: Overall good condition. All aspects of the body display light to moderate scratching and indentations. The most apparent indentations are located to the front face edges where light cracking of the finish has occurred. The most apparent scratching is situated to the rear face by the tremolo plate, these are consistent with buckle rash from previous use. Hazing and polishing is present to all aspects of the finish consistent with moderate past use.

Condition of Frets:

The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.

Current Set Up:

Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (1/8" hex) included.

Hardware: Overall very good condition. The high E saddle has been previously replaced with one of the grub screws being a 1.50mm screw hole and one being the original 1.27mm, the original is not included. Light to mild tarnishing and oxidation is present to all aspects of the metal hardware, the most prominent being to the bridge saddles.Tremolo arm not included.

Structural: No concerns or issues to note.

Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.5mm - Bass 2mm
