This is a 2025 Ernie Ball Music Man Stingray Special 5 H in Grape Crush finish. Purchased this new in early 2026 for a gig that sadly isn't really happening anymore. This finish appears to already be discontinued at Sweetwater. I played a 2001 Stingray 5H for years and owned other Stingrays built in the 2010's. I was skeptical about these Specials capturing that vibe. I took a chance and was very happily surprised. Without a doubt this is the easiest playing and nicest sounding Stingray I've played. Build quality is excellent. It's nice and light (8.5 lbs on the bathroom scale), and this finish is stunning in person. I literally had an audience member ask if they could take a picture of it when I used it live. Lightly gigged about 6 times. Cannot find any blemishes on the finish and no buckle rash. The pickguard does have scratches near the B string as you'd expect - see pic. All original except I swapped out the strap buttons for Dunlop Dual Design. Original buttons are included as is the case candy bag with tools and sticker. Original MONO EBMM branded case included and in excellent condition. I didn't take the bass out in it - used my MONO dual bags for gigs. 34" scale, 3-band active EQ with 18v system. Rosewood fretboard and roasted neck.
