Ear Candy Bass Bomb 2x12 1000W 2017 Black/Red

Up for auction is an absolute monster of a boutique cabinet: a custom EarCandy 2x12. EarCandy cabs are legendary in the heavy music community for their over-engineered, highly efficient designs, and this specific build takes that reputation to the extreme. Handling a massive 1000 watts, this cab pushes so much low-end air through its custom porting that it will literally blow your hair back.

Adding to its appeal, this exact cabinet boasts incredible heavy-music provenance. I am the second owner, having acquired it directly from its original owner: the guitarist of the legendary NYC noise/post-metal band Made Out of Babies. If you are looking for a cabinet that can handle earth-shattering volume, extreme down-tuning, or massive bass frequencies without flinching, this is it.

Specifications & Design

• Power & Impedance: 1000 Watts at 4 Ohms, capable of soaking up the most powerful modern bass or high-gain guitar heads on the market.
• Cabinet Configuration: A front-loaded 2x12 layout housed in a highly tuned, heavy-duty enclosure.
• Extreme Porting: Features a unique quad-port system with four circular ports aligned vertically down the center of the baffle to maximize low-end thrust and air displacement.
• Aesthetics: Visually striking design featuring a bright orange baffle mounted behind a fiercely rugged, diamond-pattern black metal mesh grille.
• Hardware & Connectivity: Enclosed in a road-ready black finish with protective metal corners, and equipped with parallel In and Out jacks for easy daisy-chaining.

Condition

This cabinet is in solid, used/gigged condition. The industrial metal grille and heavy-duty enclosure show some standard cosmetic wear (such as minor scuffs, dust, and finish wear along the edges) consistent with stage use and its touring history. It operates perfectly, rips effortlessly, and is ready to rattle the foundation of your next gig or studio session.

Please review all photos carefully as they are part of the description, and feel free to ask any questions prior to bidding. Due to the extreme weight and size of this heavily built cabinet, please review the shipping/pickup details closely. Happy bidding!
