The Rode NT5 is a matched pair of small diaphragm cardioid condenser microphones designed for accurate capture of acoustic instruments, drum overheads, and cymbals. Each mic uses a 1/2 inch gold-sputtered capsule with an externally biased condenser design and JFET impedance converter. The pair provides consistent response across both channels for stereo recording applications.

These mics handle up to 143 dB SPL and operate on +24V or +48V phantom power. The tight cardioid pattern helps isolate sources while the full frequency response from 20 Hz to 20 kHz delivers detailed sound across the spectrum. The satin nickel finish and compact pencil design make them suitable for both studio and live use.
