This used Schilke 17 trumpet mouthpiece comes from the store's "test mouthpiece" stock, cleaned after each use and stored in a protective case.
The Schilke 17 is an excellent medium-to-large diameter trumpet mouthpiece designed with a balanced compromise of standard playing characteristics.
The Schilke 17 trumpet mouthpiece does not have a direct, exact Bach equivalent, as Schilke's sizing scale runs opposite to Bach. However, based on cup diameter (approx. 0.682 inches / 17.32 mm), rim measurements, and cross-brand comparison charts, the Schilke 17 is most closely comparable to a Bach 1C or a Bach 1-1/4C
- 17.33 mm (0.682 inch) cup diameter
- #26 throat
- medium cup depth
- standard medium backbore
