***Disclaimer: This amp doesnt, but has been in storage for 5 years. I would get it serviced before heavy use, as it does have some crackle as volume increases.
-------
The Sunn 1200S is a powerful, American-made bass amplifier head produced during the Fender-owned era of Sunn in the 1990s.
Delivering up to 1,200 watts of power, the 1200S combines a tube-driven preamp with a solid-state power section, offering the warmth and character of tube amplification alongside exceptional headroom, clarity, and low-end response.
Known for its massive, authoritative sound, the 1200S features versatile tone-shaping controls, allowing everything from warm, vintage bass tones to aggressive, overdriven textures. Its rugged construction and distinctive Sunn aesthetic have made it a sought-after amplifier among bassists and collectors of vintage high-powered equipment.
A formidable example of 1990s Sunn amplification, particularly well suited to rock, doom, stoner metal, and other styles requiring powerful low-frequency performance.
